Olaplex can be mixed in with coloring products to minimize damage, or can be used as a separate treatment.
Olaplex claims to “reconnect broken disulfide sulfer bonds in the hair.” The treatment is labelled a “bond multiplier”, which limits damage to hair during or after coloring.
A lot of people with damaged hair have managed to get amazing results from Olaplex.
We’ve tested Olaplex on virtually every hair type and it works. Asian, Caucasian, African Ethnic, African American, previously chemically processed and virgin.
Damaged Hair Bond Multiplier: This can be added to your color service or any other hair service that’s being done, such as bleach or heat treatments.
Damaged Hair Bond Perfector: After the service has been done and rinsed off, the Olaplex No. 2 is applied and left on your hair for 10+ minutes.
Damaged Hair Perfector: Where No. 1 and No. 2 are in-salon treatments, the No. 3 is a take home product that you apply to your hair yourself. This will maximize the result of Olaplex and will sustain you between salon visits.
