The preservation of the Old Dilworth Fire Station provides future generations a unique vision of the past. Completed in 1909, the structure is characterized by its original design for horse-drawn firefighting apparatus. It stands today a monument to that forgotten era. Historic Preservation is a link to our past whereas old buildings do not belong to us, they belong to our forefathers and they will belong to our descendants. They are not in any sense our own property to do with as we like with them. We are only trustees for those that come after us. Destroying it is like erasing our memories (Robert & Eva Stark).
